Chassis is back from it’s Stretch

The chassis is now back from its stretch!! The frame was fairly twisted so the guys massaged it back as straight/square/true as they could and it looks great.  The welds still need to be cleaned up but I’ll do that before it gets sandblasted and painted.

The chassis was cut and had 4 x 4 box tubing inserted to replace the old frame rails.  The wheelbase is now 140 inches which is a 24 inch increase from the original Caprice layout.

The engine was also set back 24 inches to give more room for the radiator up front and was also slightly lowered to give more hood clearance.
