When building one of these kits you need to find a donor car. The most popular and easy to use donor is a 91-96 Chevrolet Caprice. Even though this car is a land yacht you still need to stretch it’s frame by about 25 inches.

The Batmobile’s wheelbase is about 140-141 inches. The finished car from tip of wing to tip of nose is about 21 feet long.
This is basically what a stretched chassis donor frame ends up looking like:

One of the best ways to do this stretch is to use 4 x 4 box tubing to give it lots of strength. I’m likely going to try and find an Impala SS version of the car so that I get the 5.7L LT1 engine. Basically the cop car engine 🙂
